॥ दोहा ॥

श्री गुरु चरण सरोज रज, निज मन मुकुरु सुधारि। बरनउँ रघुवर बिमल जसु, जो दायकु फल चारि॥

Shri Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Man Mukuru Sudhari. Baranon Raghuvar Bimal Jasu, Jo Dayaku Phal Chari.

💡 Cleansing the mirror of my mind with the dust of the Guru's lotus feet, I describe the pure glory of Shri Raghuvara (Ram), which bestows the four fruits of life.

॥ दोहा 2 ॥

बुद्धिहीन तनु जानिके, सुमिरौं पवन कुमार। बल बुद्धि विद्या देहु मोहिं, हरहु कलेश विकार॥

Buddhiheen Tanu Jaanike, Sumiron Pavan Kumar. Bal Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohin, Harahu Kalesh Vikar.

💡 Knowing my body to be devoid of intelligence, I remember you, O son of the Wind. Grant me strength, wisdom and knowledge, and remove all my afflictions and impurities.

॥ 1 ॥

जय हनुमान ज्ञान गुण सागर। जय कपीस तिहुँ लोक उजागर॥

Jay Hanuman Gyan Gun Sagar. Jay Kapees Tihu Lok Ujaagar.

💡 Victory to Hanuman, ocean of wisdom and virtue! Victory to the lord of monkeys, who illuminates all three worlds!

॥ 2 ॥

राम दूत अतुलित बलधामा। अंजनि पुत्र पवनसुत नामा॥

Ram Doot Atulit Baldhaama. Anjani Putra Pavansut Naama.

💡 You are the divine messenger of Ram, possessing matchless strength. You are the son of Anjani, known as Pavansuta (son of the Wind).

॥ 3 ॥

महावीर विक्रम बजरंगी। कुमति निवार सुमति के संगी॥

Mahaveer Vikram Bajrangi. Kumati Nivar Sumati Ke Sangi.

💡 You are the great hero, brave as a thunderbolt. You remove evil thinking and are the companion of noble thought.

॥ 4 ॥

कंचन बरन बिराज सुबेसा। कानन कुण्डल कुंचित केसा॥

Kanchan Baran Biraaj Subesa. Kaanan Kundal Kunchit Kesa.

💡 Your body gleams like gold, adorned in fine attire. Earrings grace your ears and your hair is curly and beautiful.

॥ 5 ॥

हाथ बज्र औ ध्वजा बिराजे। काँधे मूँज जनेऊ साजे॥

Hath Bajra Au Dhwaja Biraaje. Kandhe Moonj Janeu Saaje.

💡 You hold a thunderbolt and a flag in your hands. On your shoulder is adorned the sacred thread made of munja grass.

॥ 6 ॥

शंकर सुवन केसरी नन्दन। तेज प्रताप महा जग वन्दन॥

Shankar Suvan Kesari Nandan. Tej Pratap Maha Jag Vandan.

💡 You are the son of Shankara (Rudra), and the joy of Kesari. Your brilliance and splendour are so great that the whole world bows to you.

॥ 7 ॥

विद्यावान गुणी अति चातुर। राम काज करिबे को आतुर॥

Vidyavaan Guni Ati Chatur. Ram Kaaj Karibe Ko Aatur.

💡 You are learned, virtuous and extremely clever. You are always eager to carry out Ram's work.

॥ 8 ॥

प्रभु चरित्र सुनिबे को रसिया। राम लखन सीता मन बसिया॥

Prabhu Charitra Sunibe Ko Rasiya. Ram Lakhan Sita Man Basiya.

💡 You delight in listening to stories of the Lord. Ram, Lakshman and Sita live forever in your heart.

॥ 9 ॥

सूक्ष्म रूप धरि सियहिं दिखावा। विकट रूप धरि लंक जरावा॥

Sookshma Roop Dhari Siyahi Dikhaava. Vikat Roop Dhari Lanka Jaraava.

💡 You took a tiny form to appear before Sita in Lanka. Then taking a terrible form, you set Lanka ablaze.

॥ 10 ॥

भीम रूप धरि असुर संहारे। रामचन्द्र के काज संवारे॥

Bheem Roop Dhari Asur Sanhaare. Ramchandra Ke Kaaj Sanvaare.

💡 Taking a fearsome form, you destroyed the demons. You carried out all of Ramachandra's missions perfectly.

॥ 11 ॥

लाय सजीवन लखन जियाये। श्री रघुबीर हरषि उर लाये॥

Laay Sajeevan Lakhan Jiyaaye. Shri Raghubaar Harshi Ur Laaye.

💡 You brought the Sanjeevani herb and revived Lakshman. Shri Raghubir (Ram) embraced you joyfully.

॥ 12 ॥

रघुपति कीन्हीं बहुत बड़ाई। तुम मम प्रिय भरत सम भाई॥

Raghupati Keenhi Bahut Badaai. Tum Mam Priya Bharat Sam Bhaai.

💡 Ram praised you greatly: 'You are as dear to me as my own brother Bharat.'

॥ 13 ॥

सहस बदन तुम्हरो जस गावैं। अस कहि श्रीपति कंठ लगावैं॥

Sahas Badan Tumharo Jas Gaaven. As Kahi Shripati Kanth Lagaaven.

💡 Saying this, the Lord of Lakshmi (Ram) embraced you, adding: 'Even the thousand-mouthed Shesha sings your glory!'

॥ 14 ॥

सनकादिक ब्रह्मादि मुनीसा। नारद सारद सहित अहीसा॥

Sankaadik Brahmaadi Muneesa. Narad Sharad Sahit Aheesa.

💡 Sages like Sanaka, Brahma and the lord of sages, Narada and Sharada (Saraswati), along with Shesha — all sing your praises.

॥ 15 ॥

जम कुबेर दिगपाल जहाँ ते। कबि कोबिद कहि सके कहाँ ते॥

Yam Kuber Digpaal Jahan Te. Kabi Kobid Kahi Sake Kahan Te.

💡 Yama (death), Kubera and the guardians of the directions — where can any poet or scholar begin to describe your glory?

॥ 16 ॥

तुम उपकार सुग्रीवहिं कीन्हा। राम मिलाय राजपद दीन्हा॥

Tum Upkaar Sugreevahi Keenha. Ram Milaay Raajpad Deenha.

💡 You did great service to Sugriva — you united him with Ram and restored his kingdom.

॥ 17 ॥

तुम्हरो मन्त्र विभीषण माना। लंकेश्वर भये सब जग जाना॥

Tumharo Mantra Vibheeshan Maana. Lankeshwar Bhaye Sab Jag Jaana.

💡 Vibhishana heeded your counsel and became king of Lanka — this is known throughout the world.

॥ 18 ॥

जुग सहस्त्र जोजन पर भानू। लील्यो ताहि मधुर फल जानू॥

Yug Sahastra Yojan Par Bhaanu. Leelyo Taahi Madhur Phal Jaanu.

💡 The sun is thousands of yojanas away — yet you leapt up and swallowed it, mistaking it for a sweet fruit.

॥ 19 ॥

प्रभु मुद्रिका मेलि मुख माहीं। जलधि लाँघि गये अचरज नाहीं॥

Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukh Maahin. Jaladhi Laanghi Gaye Acharaj Naahin.

💡 With the Lord's ring held in your mouth, you leapt across the ocean — small wonder for one of your power.

॥ 20 ॥

दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते। सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते॥

Durgam Kaaj Jagat Ke Jete. Sugam Anugraha Tumhare Tete.

💡 All the difficult tasks in this world become easy by your grace.

॥ 21 ॥

राम दुआरे तुम रखवारे। होत न आज्ञा बिनु पैसारे॥

Ram Duaare Tum Rakhwaare. Hot Na Aagya Bin Paisare.

💡 You are the guardian at Ram's door — no one can enter without your permission.

॥ 22 ॥

सब सुख लहैं तुम्हारी सरना। तुम रक्षक काहू को डर ना॥

Sab Sukh Lahen Tumhaari Sharna. Tum Rakshak Kaahu Ko Dar Na.

💡 All joys are found in your shelter. When you are the protector, there is nothing to fear.

॥ 23 ॥

आपन तेज सम्हारो आपे। तीनों लोक हाँक ते काँपे॥

Aapan Tej Samhaaro Aape. Teenon Lok Haank Te Kanpe.

💡 You alone can contain your own radiance. At your roar, all three worlds tremble.

॥ 24 ॥

भूत पिशाच निकट नहिं आवै। महाबीर जब नाम सुनावै॥

Bhoot Pishaach Nikat Nahin Aavai. Mahabeer Jab Naam Sunaavai.

💡 Ghosts and evil spirits dare not come near when the name of Mahaveer (Hanuman) is uttered.

॥ 25 ॥

नासै रोग हरे सब पीरा। जपत निरन्तर हनुमत वीरा॥

Naasai Rog Hare Sab Peera. Japat Nirantar Hanumat Veera.

💡 Diseases are destroyed and all pain is removed for one who constantly repeats the name of brave Hanuman.

॥ 26 ॥

संकट से हनुमान छुड़ावैं। मन क्रम वचन ध्यान जो लावैं॥

Sankat Se Hanuman Chudaaven. Man Kram Vachan Dhyan Jo Laaven.

💡 Hanuman frees from all crises those who meditate on him in thought, word and deed.

॥ 27 ॥

सब पर राम तपस्वी राजा। तिन के काज सकल तुम साजा॥

Sab Par Ram Tapasvi Raaja. Tin Ke Kaaj Sakal Tum Saaja.

💡 Ram is the ascetic king above all. And you — you perfect all his work.

॥ 28 ॥

और मनोरथ जो कोई लावे। सोई अमित जीवन फल पावे॥

Aur Manorath Jo Koi Laave. Soi Amit Jeevan Phal Paave.

💡 Whoever brings any wish before you receives the limitless fruit of life.

॥ 29 ॥

चारों जुग परताप तुम्हारा। है प्रसिद्ध जगत उजियारा॥

Chaaron Yug Partaap Tumhaara. Hai Prasiddh Jagat Ujiyaara.

💡 Your glory shines through all four ages (yugas) — celebrated and luminous throughout the world.

॥ 30 ॥

साधु सन्त के तुम रखवारे। असुर निकन्दन राम दुलारे॥

Saadhu Sant Ke Tum Rakhwaare. Asur Nikandan Ram Dulaare.

💡 You are the guardian of saints and sages, destroyer of demons, and the beloved of Ram.

॥ 31 ॥

अष्ट सिद्धि नव निधि के दाता। अस बर दीन जानकी माता॥

Asht Siddhi Nav Nidhi Ke Daata. As Bar Deen Jaanki Maata.

💡 You are the giver of the eight spiritual powers (siddhis) and nine divine treasures (nidhis) — such was the boon granted by Mother Janaki (Sita).

॥ 32 ॥

राम रसायन तुम्हरे पासा। सदा रहो रघुपति के दासा॥

Ram Rasaayan Tumhare Paasa. Sada Raho Raghuati Ke Daasa.

💡 You hold the elixir of Ram's name. May you forever remain the servant of Raghupati.

॥ 33 ॥

तुम्हरे भजन राम को पावे। जनम जनम के दुख बिसरावे॥

Tumhare Bhajan Ram Ko Paave. Janam Janam Ke Dukh Bisraave.

💡 By singing your praises, one attains Ram, and the sorrows of countless births are forgotten.

॥ 34 ॥

अन्त काल रघुबर पुर जाई। जहाँ जन्म हरिभक्त कहाई॥

Ant Kaal Raghubar Pur Jaai. Jahan Janam Haribhakt Kahaai.

💡 At the moment of death, one goes to Ram's divine abode. In future births, such a person is celebrated as a devotee of Hari.

॥ 35 ॥

और देवता चित्त न धरई। हनुमत सेई सर्व सुख करई॥

Aur Devata Chit Na Dharai. Hanumat Sei Sarva Sukh Karai.

💡 One need not worry about pleasing other deities — serving Hanuman alone brings all happiness.

॥ 36 ॥

संकट कटे मिटे सब पीरा। जो सुमिरे हनुमत बलबीरा॥

Sankat Kate Mite Sab Peera. Jo Sumirai Hanumat Balbeera.

💡 All crises are cut away and all pain vanishes for whoever remembers mighty Hanuman.

॥ 37 ॥

जय जय जय हनुमान गुसाईं। कृपा करो गुरुदेव की नाईं॥

Jay Jay Jay Hanuman Gusaain. Kripa Karo Gurudev Ki Naaeen.

💡 Victory, victory, victory to Hanuman, the Lord! Show your grace upon me like a compassionate guru.

॥ 38 ॥

जो शत बार पाठ कर कोई। छूटहिं बन्दि महा सुख होई॥

Jo Shat Baar Paath Kar Koi. Chhootahin Bandi Maha Sukh Hoi.

💡 Whoever recites this prayer a hundred times is freed from all bondage and attains great happiness.

॥ 39 ॥

जो यह पढ़े हनुमान चालीसा। होय सिद्धि साखी गौरीसा॥

Jo Yah Padhe Hanuman Chaaleesa. Hoy Siddhi Saakhi Gaureesa.

💡 Whoever reads this Hanuman Chalisa will attain success — Lord Shiva (Gaureesa) himself is the witness.

॥ 40 ॥

तुलसीदास सदा हरि चेरा। कीजे नाथ हृदय मह डेरा॥

Tulsidas Sada Hari Chera. Keeje Naath Hriday Mah Dera.

💡 Tulsidas is forever Hari's servant. O Lord, please make your home in my heart.

॥ दोहा ॥

पवनतनय संकट हरण, मंगल मूरति रूप। राम लखन सीता सहित, हृदय बसहु सुरभूप॥

Pavantanay Sankat Haran, Mangal Moorati Roop. Ram Lakhan Sita Sahit, Hriday Bashu Surabhoop.

💡 O son of the Wind, remover of all crises, embodiment of auspiciousness — along with Ram, Lakshman and Sita, please reside in my heart, O king of the gods.
