॥ दोहा ॥

नमो नमो दुर्गे सुख करनी। नमो नमो अम्बे दुख हरनी॥ निरंकार है ज्योति तुम्हारी। तिहूँ लोक फैली उजियारी॥

Namo Namo Durge Sukh Karni. Namo Namo Ambe Dukh Harni. Nirankaar Hai Jyoti Tumhaari. Tihu Lok Phaili Ujiyaari.

💡 Salutations to Durga, giver of happiness. Salutations to Amba, remover of sorrow. Your divine light is formless, spreading radiance across all three worlds.

॥ 1 ॥

चंद्र विदर वदन पंकज राजै। चतुर्भुज दुर्गा देवी विराजे॥ कर में खड्ग खपर खप डारे। चहुँ दिस सेन शत्रु संहारे॥

Chandr Vidar Vadan Pankaj Raaje. Chaturbhuj Durga Devi Viraaje. Kar Mein Khadg Kapar Khap Daare. Chahu Dis Sen Shatru Sanhaare.

💡 Your lotus face shines like the moon. Four-armed Goddess Durga is resplendent. You hold a sword and skull-cap in your hands, destroying enemies on all sides.

॥ 2 ॥

शंख सिंधु महिषा विनाशिनी। धूम्र विलोचन नयन विनाशिनी॥ ब्रह्माणी रुद्राणी कमला। श्वेत रूप परिधान निर्मला॥

Shankh Sindhu Mahisha Vinaashini. Dhoomra Vilochna Nayan Vinaashini. Brahmaani Rudraani Kamala. Shvet Roop Paridhan Nirmala.

💡 You destroyed Mahishasura and Dhumralochan. You are Brahmaani, Rudraani and Kamala (Lakshmi), dressed in pure white — spotless and immaculate.

॥ 3 ॥

केसरी नंदन राखन हारी। पदविजयी अष्टभुजा भगवारी॥ भुजा वियोग शत्रुन के दारी। नाशन अरि दुर्गे अहंकारी॥

Kesari Nandan Raakhan Haari. Padvijayee Ashtabhuja Bhagvaari. Bhuja Viyog Shatrune Ke Daari. Naashn Ari Durge Ahankaari.

💡 You are the eight-armed goddess who protects your devotees. You sever the arms of enemies and destroy the arrogance of all who oppose you.

॥ 4 ॥

सुर समूह तुमको नित ध्यावें। सदा विजय की कामना चाहें॥ नारायणी नित नाम जपाओ। सुरपति सब मिलि पाठ करावो॥

Sur Samooh Tumko Nit Dhyaaven. Sada Vijay Ki Kamna Chahen. Narayani Nit Naam Japaao. Surpati Sab Mili Paath Karaavo.

💡 All the gods meditate on you always, seeking eternal victory. The lord of gods leads everyone in chanting your name, O Narayani.

॥ 5 ॥

दुर्गम काज जगत के जेते। सुगम अनुग्रह तुम्हरे तेते॥ हरि हर लखि सब की घटवारी। दुर्गे दुर्गत नाशिनी भारी॥

Durgam Kaaj Jagat Ke Jete. Sugam Anugraha Tumhare Tete. Hari Har Lakhi Sab Ki Ghatvari. Durge Durgat Naashini Bhaari.

💡 All difficult tasks in the world become easy through your grace. Even Vishnu and Shiva acknowledge you as the essence of all creation. O Durga, you destroy all misfortune.

॥ 6 ॥

भाग्य विधाता तुम संसारा। तुम भव-सागर तारनहारा॥ तुम्हीं जीव हो जगत की माया। जीव-जन्तु-सब तुम्हरी छाया॥

Bhagya Vidhaata Tum Sansaara. Tum Bhav Saagar Taarnhaara. Tumhi Jeev Ho Jagat Ki Maya. Jeev Jantu Sab Tumhari Chaya.

💡 You are the creator of destiny in this universe and the liberator from the ocean of worldly existence. You are both life and illusion — all living beings exist in your shadow.

॥ 7 ॥

जय जय जय जय माँ जगदम्बे। जय जय माँ नारायणी अम्बे॥ तुम ही जगत में शक्ति अपारा। सदा रखो अपना यह द्वारा॥

Jay Jay Jay Jay Maa Jagadambe. Jay Jay Maa Narayani Ambe. Tum Hi Jagat Men Shakti Apaara. Sada Rakho Apna Yeh Dwaara.

💡 Victory, victory, victory to Mother Jagadamba! Victory to Narayani Amba! You alone are the boundless power in this universe — always keep your devotees under your protection.

॥ 8 ॥

सूर्य चन्द्र तुम ही जगत माता। तुम ही पालनहारी विधाता॥ रुद्र रूप तुमने धरि छाड़ा। महाकाली बन शत्रु संहारा॥

Surya Chandra Tum Hi Jagat Maata. Tum Hi Paalanhiari Vidhaata. Rudr Roop Tumne Dhari Chhaada. Mahakaali Ban Shatru Sanhaara.

💡 You are the sun and moon, O Mother of the world. You are the nurturer and the creator. Taking the form of Rudra and then Mahakali, you annihilated all enemies.

॥ 9 ॥

नंदन नाशन विकट वैतारी। महा दुर्गम अरि संहारी॥ सब का दुख दूर करने वाली। भक्तन हित संकट टारने वाली॥

Nandan Naashan Vikat Vaitaari. Maha Durgam Ari Sanhaari. Sab Ka Dukh Door Karne Waali. Bhaktan Hit Sankat Taarne Waali.

💡 You destroy the terrible enemies of your devotees. O remover of great difficulties, you take away everyone's sorrow and rescue devotees from every crisis.

॥ 10 ॥

लक्ष्मी कल्याणमयी शुभकारी। महाकाली दुःख निवारी॥ शारदे रूपा तुम विद्यादायी। सरस्वती माँ ज्ञान कराई॥

Lakshmi Kalyanmayi Shubhkaari. Mahakali Dukh Nivaari. Sharade Roopa Tum Vidya Daai. Saraswati Maa Gyaan Karaai.

💡 As Lakshmi you bestow auspiciousness; as Mahakali you remove sorrow. As Sharada (Saraswati) you grant knowledge and wisdom. You are all goddesses in one.

॥ 11 ॥

सेवक जन जो तुम्हें पुकारें। दया करो माँ आन उबारें॥ जो तुम पर अपना मन धारें। तिनके सब संकट तुम टारें॥

Sevak Jan Jo Tumhe Pukaaren. Daya Karo Maa Aan Ubaaren. Jo Tum Par Apna Man Dhaaren. Tin Ke Sab Sankat Tum Taaren.

💡 When your devotees call out to you, O Mother, show compassion and come to rescue them. Those who fix their minds on you — you remove all their obstacles.

॥ 12 ॥

जय जय माँ दुर्गे नवदुर्गे। उग्र चंडी भव भय उर्गे॥ तुम्हें पुकारें सकल जहाना। मात करो सबका कल्याना॥

Jay Jay Maa Durge Navdurge. Ugra Chandi Bhav Bhay Urge. Tumhe Pukaaren Sakal Jahaana. Maat Karo Sabka Kalyana.

💡 Victory to Maa Durga in all nine forms! O fierce Chandi, destroy the fear of worldly existence. The whole world calls out to you — O Mother, bless everyone with wellbeing.

॥ 13 ॥

सिंह वाहिनी पाप विनाशिनी। दुर्गम काज विश्व की भाशिनी॥ कालरात्रि कलिकाल हरनी। मात अनाथ जगत की तरनी॥

Singh Vaahini Paap Vinaashini. Durgam Kaaj Vishva Ki Bhaashini. Kaalraatri Kalikal Harni. Maat Anaath Jagat Ki Tarni.

💡 You ride a lion and destroy all sins. You are the voice of the universe in difficult times. O Kaalratri, remover of the dark age — Mother, you are the boat that carries the helpless across the ocean of existence.

॥ 14 ॥

माँ तेरी शरण पड़ा हूँ द्वारे। माँ तेरी महिमा जय-जय कारे॥ ऐसी कृपा माँ करो हमारे। दुख सारे होवें दूर हमारे॥

Maa Teri Sharan Pada Hoon Dwaare. Maa Teri Mahima Jay Jay Kaare. Aisi Kripa Maa Karo Hamaare. Dukh Saare Hoven Door Hamaare.

💡 O Mother, I have come to your door seeking shelter. I sing your glory again and again. Show such grace upon me, O Mother, that all my sorrows be forever removed.

॥ 15 ॥

पुत्र करे माँ अपना हमको। बाँहों में तू ले ले हमको॥ भक्त तेरे हैं हम माँ तेरे। रख तू सदा आँचल में हमारे॥

Putr Kare Maa Apna Humko. Baahon Mein Tu Le Le Humko. Bhakt Tere Hain Hum Maa Tere. Rakh Tu Sada Aanchal Mein Hamaare.

💡 Accept me as your child, O Mother, and take me in your arms. We are your devotees — always keep us sheltered under your pallu (veil).

॥ दोहा ॥

माँ दुर्गा चालीसा पाठ करे जो कोई भाई। माँ के कृपा सदा मिले, होवे मंगल भाई॥

Maa Durga Chaaleesa Paath Kare Jo Koi Bhaai. Maa Ke Kripa Sada Mile, Hove Mangal Bhaai.

💡 Whoever recites this Durga Chalisa always receives Mother's grace and is blessed with auspiciousness in all aspects of life.
